The vocal representation here is wrong. For 173953|5,174037|5 move the 173953 note to 4th lane and add a note at 173785.
Same for the other one.
The two sharp vocal chops justifies the jump in intensity imo (which are also in the kiai sections), even if they're not the same pitch
