Map 1 »

The original idea for this map was that when I was originally listening to the song I heard the loud snares during the major intensity sections. I figured I could use this opportunity to get more comfortable with mapping Quads since the snares were a really loud sound that required quite a bit of emphasis. Due to the pacing of the song I found it more appropriate to make this a stream map especially since mapping Quads in CJ is pretty simple compared to mixing it in with other mapping styles. There were some sections with a very interesting bass sound that I couldn’t find a way to map appropriately so I took that opportunity to try to make some fast streams. it turns out people weren’t too impressed with the fact that they were just broken trills… Another thing to note is that this is the first map where I notably tried to play around with LNs near the middle of the song. I do thing I could’ve changed the hands to jumps and jumps to single notes, but aside from that I was happy with what I’d accomplished. Another small note: this was my first time mapping vocals to fast streams as seen in the section where the vocalist is pretty much whispering before the second major drop.
