Funnily enough until I had to put the metadata down for this map I always thought the song was called natasia. Anyways, the idea behind mapping this was purely the fact that I wanted to see how I would adjust to mapping a more “busy” genre of music (breakcore) without spamming trills all over the place. I somewhat feel like I succeeded since I am very happy with how the gameplay turned out especially with good feedback from the community but I also feel like I failed since I was expecting a map more based around dense Handstream. I tried to follow the song too closely without making everything trills. I couldn’t identify what to map as trills and what to “tune out” and make normal Jumpstream. It also felt way slower than I was expecting when I did attempt to map it as Handstream (shown in this clip). I actually like this product more since it feels more creative but I’m disappointed with my inability to bring my vision to light. It also scares me to map more breakcore…
